Derby boss Nigel Clough has tipped striker Rob Hulse to hit top form between now and the end of the season.
The former Leeds man has been the subject of much transfer speculation recently but no moves came off and now Clough has tipped him for a great finish to the season.
"The timing is perfect for Rob to finish the season strongly," Clough told the Derby Telegraph.
"He can put everything that has gone on from August behind him.
"All he has to do now is concentrate on playing well and getting a few goals.
"His last two performances have been very good. He showed what he can do and there is no doubt he can do it.
"It has been an uncertain and unpredictable time for him and the team's form has not been brilliant as well, which never helps strikers.
"It is vital to keep the likes of Rob and Kris Commons, because by no means are we out of trouble in the League.
"We are still very much in there, especially when you look at the fixtures we have coming up, so we wanted to keep everybody together.
"When they are in good form, Kris and Rob are players who could see us getting safe sooner rather than later."
