Hull are set to sign Craig Fagan on a permanent basis after agreeing to pay Derby a fee in the region of £750,000.
Fagan, who left Hull for Derby in January 2007, impressed while back on loan at the KC Stadium and played a key role as the Tigers won promotion to the top flight for the first time in their history.
Boss Phil Brown has been keen to wrap up a deal and believes his experience of the Premiership while he was with Derby, will prove to be invaluable next season.
Brown told the Derby Evening Telegraph: "We've agreed a permanent deal for him now and he brings valuable Premier League experience to our squad."
