Derby boss Paul Jewell is keeping a close eye on trialist James O'Shea as he looks to earn a permanent contract with the club.
The 20-year-old winger has done well in training and scored twice in a behind-closed-doors match on Monday to give manager Jewell some food for thought.
He told the Derby Telegraph: "He is a good footballer. He's quick, has good ability and plays on the right or left and can even play up front.
"We're having a close look and will monitor him for the rest of the week."
