Ward undergoes knee scan

Last Updated: Fri, 29 Nov 2013 14:17

Derby have spent the week checking on the fitness of Jamie Ward as they prepare to travel to Wigan.

Ward scored in the Rams' 1-0 win at Bournemouth, but later came off after complaining of a pain in his knee and has undergone a scan, but Derby are hopeful he will feature on Sunday.

On-loan Manchester United defender Michael Keane could make his debut and face twin brother Will - a striker - who recently joined the Latics.

Jeff Hendrick (ankle) is fit again after a lengthy absence and could be on the bench while fellow midfielder James Bailey (knee), defender Mark O'Brien (knee) and goalkeeper Adam Legzdins (ankle) all made returns from injury in the Under-21s this week.
