Defender suffers injury blow

DoncasterRover's defender Matthew Mills suffered a broken jaw during the match against Queens Park Rangers and faces a lengthy lay-off.

The 22-year-old centre-half became Doncaster's record signing after they splashed out £300,000 to acquire his services from Manchester City.

The player went down on 57 minutes against QPR on Saturday and after receiving treatment off the field he was taken to a local hospital where the break was confirmed.

This will come as a massive blow to Rover's after Mills showed real promise at the start of the season, most notably a man of the match performance on Rover's opening day win against Derby County.
