On-loan striker Iain Hume consigned managerless Portsmouth to a sixth straight loss as his goal earned Doncaster a 1-0 win at Fratton Park.
Neither side enjoyed a particularly bright start to the game but Hume gave Rovers the lead after 24 minutes.
