New boys set for Rovers bow

DoncasterNew Doncaster signings Matt Mills and Jos van Nieuwstadt are expected to start in the centre of defence against Bolton tonight.

Rovers finally completed the £300,000 capture of Mills from Manchester City on Thursday, having chased his signature all summer after an impressive loan spell at the Keepmoat last season.

Dutch ace van Nieuwstadt signed on with Rovers earlier this week after impressing on trial and boss Sean O'Driscoll is delighted with his double defensive capture.

Speaking about Mills, the boss said: "I think that everyone worked as hard as they could to get it done and dusted. The player feels settled; Manchester City have got back what they paid for him and we've got a centre-half that we know and who did well for us last season."

Commenting on van Nieuwstadt, O'Driscoll added:"Jos is an intelligent player and he has played a lot in the Dutch Premier League so he has got good experience.

"He is calm and collected and we thought that he'd fit in really well."
