O'Driscoll takes positives from Royals defeat

DoncasterBoss Sean O'Driscoll admitted he found defeat hard to take after seeing Doncaster lose 2-1 at Reading on Tuesday night.

O'Driscoll's side pulled themselves level and looked to be heading for a draw until Reading striker Kevin Doyle's ninth goal of the season settled the outcome, handing Rovers their fifth away defeat of the campaign to leave them second from bottom of the Championship table.

"I thought that we performed well against a team who, at home, are a formidable outfit," the Rovers' boss told the club's official website.

"They have scored a lot of goals here and put a lot of teams under pressure.

"We coped with that and I thought that when we were in possession of the ball, we created chances and did all of the things that we have done all season.

"Once again, I am pleased with the performance but disappointed with the result."
