Rovers raid Foxes for defender

DoncasterDoncaster have completed the signing of Leicester defender James Chambers on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Boss Sean O'Driscoll has been looking to add Chambers to his squad and the 27-year-old admits the presence of assistant manager Richard O'Kelly played a key role in his decision.

"I saw a few games last season and I've heard a few things about how well Doncaster played last year from a few people, especially in terms of how they play football," Chambers told the club's website.

"I'm glad to be a part of it. It was an easy decision to make and being an ex-player of Richard O'Kelly, who had me in the youth team at West Brom, it was even easier."

Rovers have now cooled their interest in signing trial defender Richard Keogh from Bristol City after landing Jos van Nieuwstadt and Matthew Mills recently.
