Doncaster have signed attacking midfielder Cameron Howieson on loan from Burnley until the end of the season.

New Zealand international Howieson will go straight into the Rovers squad to play Yeovil at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.

The 18-year-old told the club's official website: "I got the call this (Thursday) morning. It was a bit late notice but it's good to be here now and I'm looking forward to it.

"It's my first loan move out so it's a big experience for me. I will take it day by day and hopefully I will get some good experience from this.

"Doncaster are at the top end of the table and are doing really well. I want to help them push on and get to the Championship.

"I've got to take every game as it comes and do the best I possibly can."

Howieson represented his country at the 2012 Olympics in London and he has also played for the All Whites at Under-23 level.
