Striker back in contention

Darren Byfield could make his Doncaster debut against Coventry on Saturday after recovering from hernia surgery.

The former Aston Villa and Millwall striker has not played for Rovers since his summer switch from Bristol City, but Byfield is in contention for a place in the squad to face the Sky Blues.

Boss Sean O'Driscoll could also welcome back fellow striker Jason Price, who has been absent through a persistent foot injury, while Matthew Mills is also available after x-rays showed he has not broken his jaw.
