Confidence is sky-high - Wilkie

Dundee UtdClub captain Lee Wilkie insists there is "no reason" why Dundee United cannot keep their unbeaten run going.

The skipper had feared another late upset on Saturday against Aberdeen but goals from Francisco Sandaza and Warren Feeney secured a narrow 2-1 win to stretch United's unbeaten run to nine games.

"It's in our hands and we have the confidence now," he said. "At the start of the season we didn't get the breaks and the confidence was not quite there, although we were playing quite well.

"But the confidence is sky-high at the club just now and the players and the manager are still working hard even though we are winning. There is no reason why it can't continue."
