Daly fuming at spot-kick snub

Dundee UtdStriker Jon Daly blasted match referee Euan Norris for failing to award him a penalty in Dundee United's 2-0 defeat at Kilmarnock.

The 25-year-old Irishman was clearly hacked down by Killie's Willie Gibson as the Terrors were looking to get back into the game at Rugby Park when trailing 2-0.

However Norris, refereeing his first SPL match, failed to give him the decision, deeming the tackle to be a good one.

"Scott Robertson squared the ball for me, and the defender just went straight through the back of me," said Daly. "It was a tap in, so there was no reason for me to go down.

"I don't know why it wasn't given.

"The referee has to go and take a look back at the video and he should realise he made a mistake. But it's just one of those things."
