Kenneth facing fitness race

Dundee UtdDundee United boss Craig Levein is hopeful that Garry Kenneth will have recovered from his ankle injury in time to face Motherwell.

The youngster was forced to pull out of the Scotland Under-21 squad that played yesterday but Levein is confident he will return.

"Garry is the only one who didn't train," Levein told The Courier. "He went over his ankle in the first half on Sunday, hurting it as his momentum carried him behind the goal.

"He did well to carry on as he did but the ankle is swollen today. The fact he is young and should heal quickly is a plus though, so hopefully he will be okay."
