Newcastle United have been penciled in for a friendly at Tannadice to launch the club's centenary celebrations.
The Terrors will face the Magpies on Sunday, August 2, less than a week before the St James' Park outfit meet West Brom in the first game of the new Coca-Cola Championship campaign.
United have already lined up friendlies with Darlington, Huddersfield and Leeds but the Newcastle clash will be the biggest test of Dundee's pre-season.
The Tannadice club kick off their SPL campaign with a home clash against Hearts on August 15.
