Robertson ignoring national clamour

Dundee UtdScott Robertson has dismissed thoughts of a possible Scotland call-up to concentrate on his Dundee United career.

The 23-year-old midfielder has been in impressive form for the Terrors since his summer arrival from Dundee, which has led to increasing calls for a first call-up to the national squad.

And he will get another chance to showcase his talents on Tuesday night as in-form United travel to Ibrox to take on the might of Barry Ferguson et al, with the possibility of climbing to third place in the table.

Robertson though is content to ignore the clamour for his inclusion in a bid to focus his thoughts on the Tangerines and helping them to maintain their current run.

"I've heard a few people mention me for Scotland but it's not something I've given any thought to," Robertson said.

"It's very flattering that people think I'm playing well but at the moment my only focus is trying to keep my form for Dundee United going and being consistent.

"Last season I had to hear speculation about me going to United but that didn't affect me and the Scotland thing is the same.

"Of course it's something I'd love to happen one day but until I hear from anyone to do with Scotland it won't be high on the list of things I'm thinking about."
