Terrors boss talks up midfielder

Dundee UtdDundee United boss Craig Levein says Scott Robertson has a bright international future after earning his first Scotland call-up.

Scotland chief George Burley has been sufficiently impressed by the Terrors midfielder's performances in the SPL this season following his summer move from Dundee to promote him into the national squad for the friendly against Argentina on Wednesday.

And Levein believes it is only just reward for the player who, he says, will cope with the step up.

Levein told the Daily Record: "He's really excited about it and so he should be, because there's no doubt in my mind he's got the ability.

"It's all happened very quickly for Scott, but he has been so consistent and has improved enormously in the few months he's been here. To get a call-up so soon is a great credit to him and everyone at Tannadice is really pleased.

"He won't be fazed by it and because of his age he'll cope no problem. He's young but he's not a kid. He's 23 and that's a good age."
