Blues watch Championship ace

Everton are understood to be keeping tabs on Sheffield United's highly-rated young defender Kyle Naughton.

The 20-year-old has made a big impact at Bramall Lane this season, playing the last 12 games after breaking into the Blades first team in late September.

Since then his performances have caught the eye of several top flight clubs, with Everton scouts amongst those known to have been watching the England Under-21 international.

With Tony Hibbert missing through injury, Everton have been forced to use skipper Phil Neville at right back and David Moyes is believed to see Naughton as a good prospect for the future.
