Boss delighted with Arsenal fight back

Roberto Martinez believes his side will take confidence from the fact they fought back to draw against Arsenal after falling behind.

The Everton boss was delighted that his side did not lose their shape or change the way they were playing despite falling behind with just ten minutes left on the clock.

Martinez was over the moon with the entire display but particularly pleased with the way they fought back to secure a draw.

"Going 1-0 down and conceding a direct goal by Arsenal a bit against the run of play could have left some sides thinking it just wasn't their day," he said.

"We never did that. We showed the character to at least get what we deserved, and we even had the opportunity to win the game - albeit in the same way Arsenal did.

"It was a game when we went toe to toe with outstanding technical levels and it will give us great confidence going into the future."
