Everton boss David Moyes is said to be on the trail of Sweden's Under-21 striker Marcus Berg and may yet move for Michael Owen.

Berg has been on fire during the current Under-21 tournament in his homeland, with seven goals in just four matches, and that has alerted a number of top clubs.

Berg's form is nothing new, however, and the Groningen star, who has also attracted interest from AZ Alkmaar and Ajax, is in demand after netting 33 times in 57 appearances for the Dutch side.

Berg says it is his dream to play in the Premier League and Everton may be ready to make a move.

Meanwhile, Owen is contemplating his future as he is set to become a free agent this week when his current deal runs out at Newcastle. Hull and Stoke have already registered their interest but Everton have long been linked.
