A move for England international Joleon Lescott to Manchester City looks to be back on if they increase their offer to around £20m.

It has been reported that Everton would be willing to do business at that sort of money after turning down City's original offer, said to be £15m.

The former Wolves defender is said to be keen on a switch to Eastlands, where he would apparently double his weekly wages to £80,000 a week. And it is up to City now to make an increased offer for the player which would get the ball rolling.

In three seasons at Goodison Park, Lescott has made 111 appearances for the club and has forced his way on to the international stage making six appearances for England.
