Everton have denied they have accepted a bid from Fulham for striker Andy Johnson despite reports to the contrary.

The former Crystal Palace striker was left out of the squad at Deepdale last night which many believed to be a clear sign that he was on his way from the club with Craven Cottage the destination.

But chief executive Keith Wyness insists no such deal has been agreed, and told the club's official website: "Contrary to some reports that have surfaced the club can confirm that no offer has been received nor has any deal been agreed for Andrew Johnson with Fulham Football Club."
