James Vaughan and Victor Anichebe came through a reserve match on Tuesday and are itching to get back into first-team action.Anichebe helped create the first goal, scored by Dan Gosling, and Vaughan himself netted the second but, like the first team, the reserves let a two-goal lead slip and had to settle for a point.
Both players have been restricted to just two starts each this season because of niggling knocks and the manager's preference for Yakubu and Louis Saha up front, but after a stuttering start to the season they will be hoping to get their chance in the near future.
