Everton are said to be monitoring West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame who apparently has a release clause in his deal.
The 25-year-old midfielder only joined the Hammers back in the summer, when he signed on a free transfer from Wigan penning a three-year deal in the process, but it is now being claimed he had a release clause inserted into that deal.
The clause allows the Senegal international to speak to interested parties if they are prepared to offer over £7m for his services and this is what is said to have alerted Everton boss David Moyes to his possible availability.
Moyes is not alone though as Newcastle are also thought to be keen on the player who has made 11 top-flight appearances for the Hammers this season, scoring one goal in the process.
