Everton boss Roberto Martinez is keeping a keen eye on Dundee United left-back Andrew Robertson, according to reports in Scotland.
The 20-year-old was signed from Queens Park last summer but had a good season for the Terrors and picked up a full cap for Scotland from Gordon Strachan, which has led to plenty of speculation linking him with a move to England.
Martinez is said to be keen but he will have a battle on his hands as Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has been on the trail of the 20-year-old and is now reported to have made a second offer worth £1.5m, although United rejected the bid.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, United chairman Stephen Thompson refused to be drawn on the subject.
"I'm not going to comment on that," he said. "I prefer to comment when business is done. If they prefer to comment, that is fine, but I am saying no more at the moment."
Sunderland are also said to be keen on the promising youngster and might be tempted to make a bid this summer.
