Everton sale draws closer

EvertonEverton could be in the hands of new foreign owners before January's transfer window opens as two buyers close in on the club.

Current chairman Bill Kenwright is currently in negotiations to sell the club and those talks are centred on two separate bids, one from the Far East and one from the Middle East according to reports.

The deal is apparently being brokered by investment banker Keith Harris and if it does go through before the New Year the likelihood is that boss David Moyes will be handed new transfer funds to spend when the transfer window opens.

Moyes, who is expected to pen his new deal at the club this week, is confident that Kenwright will sell to the right party. "I trust Bill to find the right person for this club," he said in the Mail.

"He will make sure they are the right type, not just anyone throwing a few bob around."
