Everton's Scottish forward Steven Naismith claims the fans have not seen the best of him in what has been a stop-start season.
The former Rangers man netted four times in a season where he was trying to establish himself after his previous campaign was ruined by a knee injury.
Naismith made 15 starts, and a further 20 appearances from the substitutes bench, and he says that was more than he expected, telling the Post: "I have played more games and started more games than I thought.
"The quality in the squad is really high. Coming back from injury and moving to a new club are big things for a footballer and I am happy with the amount I have played.
"I have not played anywhere near my best but hopefully I can keep in good shape over the summer, come back and have a good pre-season and push on."
