Top summer target Arouna Kone has apparently rejected overtures from Norwich and Swansea because he only wants to join Everton.
The Wigan frontman is expected to move on from the DW Stadium following Latics' relegation to the Championship and is wanted by Roberto Martinez, who wants to work with the powerful Ivory Coast star again.
Kone has made it clear he does not want to stay in the second tier in England and sees his future back in the Premier League - with Everton his chosen destination.
Both Swansea and Norwich are also keen on Kone but his links to the north west and the fact he could continue to work with Martinez are believed to be key to the deal and Martinez is increasingly confident he will eventually secure Kone's services.
Kone is believed to have told other clubs he only has eyes for Everton and will do all he can to push through a transfer, which could end up costing the Blues in the region of £6million.
