Everton summer signing Kevin Mirallas believes he has begun to form a formidable partnership with striker Nikica Jelavic.

Mirallas, who joined Everton in a £6million deal from Greek side Olympiacos, believes his style of play works well with Jelavic and is excited by how their partnership is progressing.

Croatian striker Jelavic has scored three goals in the last three games, and Mirallas admits he is enjoying playing alongside the former Rangers striker.

The winger told evertontv: "I mentioned last week how much I am enjoying playing with him.

"He is great at finding space in the box and freeing himself up which makes it easy to find him with a pass.

"While also he is very good with his flicks and little touches he gives to me so it works well both ways."
