Moyes expects Yobo return

EvertonEverton boss David Moyes expects Joseph Yobo to force his way back into the starting XI despite being dropped for the last two games.

The Nigerian international, who has been a talisman in the heart of the Everton defence in recent seasons, has been left on the sidelines by Moyes in the Toffees last two matches, but Moyes expects him to break back into the team.

He told the Liverpool Daily Post: "He will be back in the team, I am sure about that. He is disappointed because he wants to play. I expect that and understand that.

"But he's had a difficult start to the season.

"We gave him extra time off in the summer because of his international commitments, then he had an injury niggle and that's all contributed to him not being able to reach the fitness level he wants.

"With fitness comes concentration and he has missed that. He's not really got back to the level we would have liked."

"I've not had any problems with him at all. Of course he's disappointed, but he's not been banging down my door demanding explanations. We are looking to try and find a way to get him back in."
