Louis Saha is ready to sign a new two-year contract at Goodison and reject the chance to join Bordeaux and Roma.

The 31-year-old has proved his best days are not behind him this season and bagged 13 goals going into tomorrow's Merseyside derby.

Saha's contract was due to run out at the end of the season and his status as a free transfer had attracted interest from French champions Bordeaux, Turkish giants Besiktas and Claudio Ranieri's Roma.

Talks over a new deal stalled over Saha's £60,000-a-week demands but the striker will now stay at Goodison until the summer of 2012.
