Osman ponders surgery

EvertonEverton midfielder Leon Osman will discuss the possibility of a knee operation with the club's medical staff today.

Osman has been troubled by the injury for a while and although it does not keep him out of many matches it is something he is anxious to clear up.

Although he remains optimistic about the situation, he accepts that he may need to go under the knife.

"I hope I don't need an operation, as I haven't missed a game lately, but we'll have a look today and tomorrow and see what happens," he told the club's official website.

"If I need surgery, so be it, but, if I don't, I'll carry on with the rehab work to keep my knee as strong as possible."
