Everton midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger claims the side must use the defeat at Reading as a wake-up call.
The former German international made his full Premier League debut for the side in the defeat at Reading and knows the team must use the loss as a spur to push them on again.
The slip-up at Reading saw Everton fall out of the top four with high-flying West Brom taking their place in the Champions League places and, should West Ham beat Stoke tonight, David Moyes men' will drop to sixth.
He told the Echo: "Maybe it was a bit of a wake-up call but we will see how we react against Norwich. We've got the quality and the character to bounce back but we've got to prove that. It's disappointing and frustrating because it's a game we should have won.
"We've had games before this season when we didn't play well for 90 minutes but got the right result but we just didn't finish the game off in the right manner."
