Striker worry for boss

Everton boss David Moyes faces an injury wait ahead of the Aston Villa clash as both Leighton Baines and Victor Anichebe have knocks.

The England defender has pulled out of of Fabio Capello's England squad for Tuesday night's Euro 2012 qualifier against Wales at Wembley, after suffering a hamstring injury, and he must now be considered doubtful for the Aston Villa clash.

Likewise Anichebe has picked up a groin injury on international duty with Nigeria, as they cruised to a 2-0 win over Madagascar in an African Nations Cup qualifier, and he will miss their friendly with Argentina so he too is considered doubtful for the Villa clash. With Jermaine Beckford and Yakubu having been sold on transfer deadline day and Louis Saha an injury doubt, that could leave Moyes with just Denis Stracqualarsi - Everton's new number 11 - and Tim Cahill as the only two strikers available.
