Everton will be without Marouane Fellaini for the clash with Chelsea as he is still on crutches with possible ligament damage.
The Belgian international will have another scan on his injured ankle when the current swelling goes down but the fear is that he has damaged ankle ligaments and could be out for at least two weeks.
Fellaini was felled by a two-footed lunge from Sotirios Kyrgiakos which resulted in him being shown a red card but could now lead to a longer period of absence for Fellaini.
Another injury to a crucial player is the last thing David Moyes needs following the problems suffered by Phil Neville, Phil Jagielka, Yakubu and Mikel Arteta during the past 12 months.
