Reported Everton target, defender Kamil Zayatte, is reportedly set for talks with officials from Premier League rivals Newcastle.
Guinean international Zayette currently plays for Swiss club BSC Young Boys looked set to join the Toffees following a recent trial at Goodison Park in which it is claimed he impressed boss David Moyes. However as the move to the Toffees appears to have stalled, Newcastle have moved in for the player.
Magpies boss Kevin Keegan was looking to snap up Blackburn star Stephen Warnock, but Rovers do not want to sell the former Liverpool man, who handed in a transfer request earlier this summer. Newcastle have reportedly seen a third bid, of around £4million, rejected by Blackburn.
So that leaves the 23-year-old Zayette, who can also play as a defensive midfielder.
