Everton are set to lose David Weir from their coaching staff as he looks set to start his first managerial role at Sheffield United.
Weir was one of the backroom staff at Goodison Park who had been in the running to take over from David Moyes until Roberto Martinez was handed the reigns.
If he does go, it will be a blow to the new boss who had wanted to keep former players on his staff.
Weir's possible exit will follow that of Phil Neville, who retired at the weekend, and it could signal a major turnaround in the backroom staff with a number of former Wigan men coming into the club and some of Moyes' staff heading out to Manchester United.
