Everton are being linked with a move for Benfica's Argentine wideman Eduardo Salvio who could be on his way to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a good season with Benfica, apart from losing to Chelsea in the final of the Europa League and finishing as runners-up to Porto in Portugal's top league, and are were rumours of a move with Everton supposedly interested.
After scoring 11 goals from the wing in 42 appearances for Benfica, his agent, Agustin Jimenez, has begun talking up a move abroad if he does not get an improved deal where he is.
"At the moment, his [Salvio's] future is undecided," Jimenez told Portuguese newspaper O Jogo."We need to speak with Benfica and to discuss the options.
"There is interest out there this summer from clubs in England and Italy and I believe they have had contact with Benfica. After a big season it is normal that significant clubs will be interested. Now the decision is in the hands of Benfica.
"Salvio is content at the club but he is open to the possibility of a move."
Whether Roberto Martinez would be after the player remains to be seen as his priority currently appears to be a striker.
