Falkirk boss John Hughes admits signing a keeper is his priority although he hopes to secure Scott Flinders for the rest of the season.

Hughes hit the road on Tuesday night to see the Oldham v Cheltenham FA Cup tie and could have been watching 23-year-old Robins keeper Scott Brown.

"We're always looking to improve the squad and I'd like to bring one or two in at Christmas, but appreciate that money is tight in the current financial climate," said Hughes, who ideally would be able to extend Flinders' loan from Crystal Palace.

"A goalkeeper is a priority although I'm looking to keep Scott for the rest of the season.

"He likes being out of the spotlight up here and has settled in well in Scotland with his girlfriend.

"However, we need to look elsewhere in case that should fall through.
