Carl Finnigan will be plying his trade at Falkirk Stadium next season after agreeing a new deal to remain at the club.

The 22-year-old fell out of contract at the end of last season but new boss Eddie May was keen to keep the former Newcastle United trainee at the club.

The Jarrow-born youngster netted five times in 19 appearances last term but also missed a large part of the season through injury.

May is hoping that he can bounce back from last season's setbacks and fulfil his obvious potential in front of goal.

"I know Carl was in and out at the tail-end of last season when he was hampered by injuries and illness, but he has fantastic qualities," he said.
