Eddie May is favourite to land the manager's job at Falkirk after it was revealed the new man will be unveiled on Tuesday.

The Bairns have been on the look out for a new boss following John Hughes' decision to move to Hibernian and the club will hold a press conference to announce their new management structure on Tuesday.

Steven Pressley and Alex Smith are tipped to join May at the club and managing director George Craig explained why it has taken so long to announce the new man at the helm.

"I would have liked to announce the new manager of Friday but these things always take a bit longer than you think," he told the Falkirk website.

"There are procedures you have to go through and the people involved have to be given time to discuss it with their families.

"However, everything is now in place and I look forward to making the announcement on Tuesday."
