SFA confirm 'positive' talks

FalkirkFalkirk manager John Hughes is now looking to get back to business after his showdown talks with the SFA.

Hughes has been embroiled in a bitter war of words with the SFA and refereeing officials following his outburst directed at referee Iain Brines after his side's defeat to Celtic.

However, he met with referees' chief Donald McVicar this week after slamming him for the comments made after his tirade directed at Brines.

The pair now appear to have reconciled their differences with the SFA confirming talks had been 'positive'.

Hughes confirmed: "There was a meeting. I am a man of honour and that's why the contents and nature of those discussions will remain entirely private."
