Watford defender Lloyd Doyley has signed a new contract at Vicarage Road through until the summer of 2012.

The 26-year-old last week admitted he wanted to stay on with the Hornets having come through the youth ranks.

Doyley told Watford's website: "It is good to get everything sorted and I now know where I'm going to be for the next three years.

"Back in January I wasn't too sure what was going to happen but I've been playing well since then and I've maintained my place at full back, so it always helps when you're playing consistently and we've been doing well."

Doyley is eligible for a testimonial in 2011 when he completes ten years' service.
