Champion's title admission

Formula 1Kimi Raikkonen admits the battle for the Formula One title is out of his hands and will now have to rely on others slipping up.

The world champion finds himself 21 points behind current leader Lewis Hamilton, with just four races remaining this season, as he prepares for this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix.

With 40 points still up for grabs, Raikkonen could yet have a major say in where the title goes but he acknowledges that his main rivals, particularly Hamilton and Felipe Massa, will have endure a bad run of results for him to retain his crown.

The Finn admitted: "The most important thing is to win again.

"In theory, the championship is not over yet but I don't have it under control any more."

The Ferrari driver added: "The situation in the championship is what it is and it doesn't depend any more only on my results but on my competitors' results."
