Hamilton on Spa pole

Formula 1Lewis Hamilton has claimed pole position for Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix edging out Felipe Massa towards the end of the session.

Massa had claimed provisional pole for Ferrari but Hamilton managed a lap of one minute 47.338 seconds - 0.340 seconds quicker in his McLaren.

Heikki Kovalainen in the second McLaren will start third on the grid at Spa with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen fourth.

Nick Heidfeld was fifth fastest in his BMW Sauber with Renault's Fernando Alonso sixth spot ahead of Red Bull's Mark Webber.
