Bullard content with start

FulhamFulham star Jimmy Bullard has declared himself satisfied with the Cottagers' mixed start to the new season.

Roy Hodgson's side won two of their first three Premier League games but have lost their last two on the spin - against Blackburn and West Ham - to sit 15th in the table.

But Bullard claims it is far too soon to start reading anything into league positions.

"It's early days yet and we've only played five games," he told the club's website. "You're not going to win the league after five game and you're not going to get relegated after five. People can make mountains out of molehills either way.

"But that's football nowadays and that's what people talk about. You're never going to get anything in the middle, it's either good or bad - that's why people listen to phone-ins or buy the papers because it's a good read.

"No one wants to talk about middle ground because no one would want to read about it."
