Martin Jol has confirmed that Kerim Frei is in his long-term plans at Fulham but he may be sent out on loan for some first-team action.
The Cottagers boss has spoken out to rebuff reports that the 19-year-old Turkey international is poised to depart Craven Cottage with Galatasaray looking to snap him up for around £2million.
Frei's future looked even more uncertain at the weekend when he was not in Jol's 18-man squad for the Premier League win at Sunderland.
However, the Dutch tactician insists the player, who only played eight times for Fulham last campaign and spent time on loan with Cardiff, does have a future at the club but could be sent out once again.
Jol said: "Kerim is a young lad who's developing.
"He scored one goal in more than 25 matches, so he needs games.
"I would love to put him somewhere where he can play games and we can develop him, like we did with [Alex] Kacaniklic."
