Cottagers in race for Osasuna ace

Fulham are reportedly in the race to try and sign Osasuna's Cameroon international midfielder Raoul Loe this summer.

Cottagers boss Felix Magath is looking to rebuild his squad for a Championship promotion push next term following the side's relegation at the end of last season.

And while the German tactician has vowed to use the club's blossoming youth academy as much as possible, he is also looking to add some experienced heads to the squad.

The likes of Damien Duff, Steve Sidwell, Giorgos Karagounis, Mahamadou Diarra, John Arne Riise and John Heitinga have all departed Craven Cottage since the end of last season, so Magath has plenty of gaps to fill.

Loe is a possible recruit with the 25-year-old defensive midfield man aiming to secure a move away from Osasuna following their relegation from the Spanish La Liga last term.

He could be available for around £1.6million as enters the final year of his contract, but Fulham are set to face competition from the likes of fellow Championship sides Wigan and Cardiff for his signature.

It is unknown if Loe would contemplate playing in English football's second tier given that he wants to quit Osasuna, while any Premier League interest would no doubt scupper Fulham's chances of securing a deal.
