Fulham are being linked with a swoop on Hearts for Christophe Berra with Brede Hangeland reported to be interesting Arsenal and Spurs.
Norwegian central defender Hangeland has impressed in the Premiership since arriving at Craven Cottage last season and the Cottagers are keen to get the 27-year-old tied down to a new deal in a bid to fend off interested parties.
But so far the player has stalled, fuelling rumours he is seeking a move.
And now it seems Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is eyeing a replacement in the shape of Scotland international Berra - Hearts' young captain who led by outstanding example in Saturday's 2-1 triumph over Rangers.
However, Wolves and Feyenoord are also being touted for a raid on Tynecastle for the 23-year-old who made his international bow in May this year.
