West Ham and Fulham have been alerted to a bargain deal with the news that Aston Villa will sell striker Darren Bent at a big loss.
Villa's £18million record signing has fallen out of favour under manager Paul Lambert and is set to be sold off for less than half of that this summer.
The Birmingham Mail confirmed that the forward will be allowed to leave despite having two years on his current contract.
Liverpool have long been admirers of Bent and could enter the bidding while West Ham could make a bid as they look to revamp their strikeforce - possibly around Andy Carroll.
Fulham, Hull and Cardiff have also been linked for the Tooting-born hitman who has also played for Charlton and Tottenham.
